Dragino LMDS200 24 GHz Microwave Radar Level Multi-Object Distance Sensor | LoRaWAN
The Dragino LMDS200 is a LoRaWAN Microwave Radar distance sensor. It uses a 24 GHz Microwave to detect the distance between the sensor and different objects. Compared to the ultrasonic or Lidar measurement method, Microwave Radar is more reliable for condensation or dusty environments. It can sense the correct distance even if water or thick dust is on top of the sensor.
The LMDS200 can be applied to scenarios such as horizontal distance measurement, parking management system, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management system, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewer, etc.
LMDS200 can measure two distances: the closest object and the next object behind the closest one.
LMDS200 supports an alarm feature—the user can set the LMDS200 to uplink data in short intervals when the distance is out of the configured range.
The LoRa wireless technology used in the LMDS200 allows devices to send data and reach extremely long ranges at low data rates. It provides ultra-long-range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity, minimizing current consumption.
LMDS200 is powered by an 8500 mAh Li/SOCl₂ battery, designed for long-term use for up to five years.
