The TL-WR702N has a variety of functions that can launch your product into a variety of Internet-Of-Things (IoT) applications.

Client Mode (adding wireless to wired systems):
With client mode, you can connect to a wired device and it will work as a wireless adapter to receive wireless signals from your wireless network. For a Smart TV, Media Player, game console, or any other device with an Ethernet port, use the Client Mode to make your devices Wi-Fi enabled, granting them access to your wireless network. No driver support required!

AP Mode (providing wireless connectivity for wired networks):
AP mode is commonly used to turn multi-wired connections, like a network switch or router, into wireless solution. If you are in an office, hotel, or place where only a wired network is available or situations where a temporary wireless network is needed, AP Mode should be your best choice.

Repeater mode (for Wi-Fi coverage extension):
Repeater mode is used to extend a network's wireless coverage with the same SSID and security. When you have a wireless network, and there are places in the coverage area where the signal is week or non-existant, you should consider Repeater Mode.

Bridge Mode (for home or business public shared networking):
Bridge mode borrows existing wireless Internet connectivity and broadcasts it using a different network name (SSID) and password. Bridge Mode is best for locations where Internet service needs to be provided for guests without revealing the password of the existing network for hosts.
