The Monnit Wi-Fi low temperature wireless sensor uses an RTD to
accurately measure temperatures from -200°C to +162°C (-328°F to
+325°F). Perfect for low temperature applications such as
freezers and coolers. An integrated 802.11 b/g radio transmitter
allows the device to be easily programmed to work with any existing
Wi-Fi network. Monnit Wi-Fi sensors can be easily programmed with
802.11 security via a low cost USB cable and the free MoWi Utility for Windows,
keeping the network secure. User defined
intervals (heartbeats) and sensor threshold settings ensure that
sensor data is received when needed, based on the application. All
sensor data is stored securely in the iMonnit Online
Monitoring software and is viewable from any web enabled device.
Email and SMS messages can be configured through the online
system to alert the user immediately when a defined parameter has
been met or exceeded. User customization allows you to set the
frequency of sensor readings and create notifications from the
system when certain criteria have been met or exceeded.
- 802.11 b/g (2.412 - 2.484 GHz)
- Up to 250 ft. (Typical to standard Wi-Fi devices)
- Open, WEP, WPA, WPA2 Security Standards
- High gain, RPSMA antenna provides 20-30% increase in range.
- -200°C to +162°C (-328°F to +325°F)
- Accurate to +/- 0.3°C @ 0°C.
- Good for extremely low temperature applications.
* Actual range may vary depending on environment.
** Battery life is affected by reporting frequency (heartbeat),
sensor type, Wi-Fi security type, distance from
router and other variables.
In order to program the sensor to connect to your wif-fi network,
you will need a Wi-Fi programming cable and the free MoWi setup
utility. The MoWi setup utility is currently available for Windows®
PC's only. Mac and Linux are not currently supported!
