Product Overview and Functional Description
AzureWave Technologies, Inc. introduces the SiP GPS module IC-GPS-S20. The module IC is targeted to mobile devices including Mobiles Phones, Tablets, Digital Cameras , Mobile Devices, Portable GPS Devices , PDA's , and Tracking Devices which need small footprint package, low power consumption and excellent tracking sensitivity. By using GPS-S20, the customers can easily enable the GPS applications with the benefits of high design flexibility, short development cycle, and quick time-to-market.

GPS-S20 module adopts Broadcom BCM47511 which is a single chip, single die GPS and GLONASS receiver that combines a high-performance RF front end with an adaptive baseband processor. For GPS and GLONASS receiver, the GPS-S20 uses a host-based integration architecture that splits processing functions between the GPS\GLONASS chip and the CPU on the host system. Demands on the host CPU are minimal and no real time requirements are imposed. The GPS-S20 supports Assisted, Autonomous, and Enhanced Autonomous operating mode and all industry aiding standards for AGPS applications, including GSM/UMTS (3GPP 44.031, 44.035 and 25.331).
